Tips From Our PGA Pro, Trey Birchum:

Alignment

It’s amazing the number of golf swings that can be fixed with a club on the ground. The majority of amateurs do not realize that they are rarely aimed where they think they are.

The next time you are practicing, lay a club on the ground parallel to your target line; it’s the railroad theory. Your heels are the left side of the track- the ball is the right side. If the line of your heels is parallel to your target, you are correctly aligned. If you’re consistently missing shots to one direction, don’t automatically assume it’s your swing. It could be your alignment, and you can correct it yourself. If your alignment is proper and you are still having problems, that is when you need to seek the help of a PGA Professional.
