Just a quick post to tell you all HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Looking forward to 2012 and we’ve already started breaking out the toys. Class, we’re going to talk about two things today. The first is a flat out personal referral. We know that there are X amount of you that are die-hard coffee or tea drinkers. Well your intrepid, no fish-catching author has discovered something. It’s called a Hydro-Flask and we have them in the River Ridge pro shop. My personal endorsement? Went fishing Wednesday and filled my Hydro Flask with iced tea. Picked it up Thursday night off my backseat floorboard. It still has ice in it. Did I mention it doesn’t sweat? Did I mention it was on a kayak in the water for five hours with me the day before? Did I mention I can’t catch fish? Think that thing would come in handy when it’s 100 degrees in the shade and you want a nice cold drink? Or you want a slug of coffee when it’s an ice cube outside? Just saying....

The second toy is big. For all you swing geeks, tech geeks, anyone who really wants to know what your golf club and your golf ball are doing, we present to you.....The Doppler Radar System. That’s right we have one. The only one on this side of the world. If you want to know your launch angle, ball flight specs, clubhead speed, probably your heart rate and underwear size, this little baby can do it. And it can do it on the driving range where you can see your ball, not into a net or a wall in a dark room. If you really want to know....REALLY want to know the truth, call the River Ridge pro shop and set up an appointment with our Director of Instruction, Jim Apple. Jim will show you all the data you can possibly compile. Whether you really want to know is entirely up to you.
